Scientific committees on
high blood pressure specify different levels of blood pressure and
define high blood pressure in 3 stages:

Particular cases:
For diabetic subjects and/or in case of renal insufficiency, high blood pressure
is defined by a blood pressure up to 130/85 mmHg.
For subjects who are more
than 60 years old, the value of 160/90 mmHg is tolerated, but the
value of 140/90 mmHg is ideal.
